The 2 July marked another First Thursday -a hot busy night with many galleries open late launching openings of new exhibitions including the Weekend Gallery featuring the excellent work of Charlotte Snook, MA RCA

Charlotte Snook’s exhibition continues until the 2 August. Robert Sample, another local artist also had an opening on the 2 July at the popular Dragon Bar, 71George Street, Hastings Old Town. Robert paints elements of society that are marginalised,sometimes working with those who are living on the edge of the social order. The exhibition is open every day.

The Gill gallery in Kings Road, St Leonards opened on 3 July with a mixed exhibition of St Leonards artists including Emily Johns, Olivia Stanton, Dave Henderson, Martin Pearce, Annie Rae, Alex Leadbeater and many others. It will co-incide with the St Leonards Festival taking place on Saturday 11 July.
