Festivals galore in this South Eastern corner of England. The popular Seafood and Wine Festival weekend came and went catching yet another Indian sunny September and the event drew more than 40,000 visitors to Hastings!.

Rye Arts Festival and Coastal Currents Festival have both finished but

Hastings Week Festival will soon be upon us – starting on Monday 12 October with a host of events and activities including a huge Bonfire procession night on Saturday 17 October.

Laetitia Yhap’s exhibition of paintings about the Hastings Fishing Community at the Memorial Art Gallery is on until the end of October. This is accompanied by ‘The Catch’ a film by Mark French about the artist, her life and inspiration.

The Weekend Gallery has re-opened with an exhibition of new work by Michael Davies, painter and this runs until November 1. Open from Thursday to Sunday 10-5pm.    Michael Davies -Weekend Gallery
