21 stunning Indian Miniature paintings on loan from the collection of the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Art, Norwich. Spanning a period of over two hundred years (1650-1850) the exhibition includes studies of animals, illustrations to Hindu sacred text, Persian mystical poetry, portraits of rulers and pictures of court celebrations. The exhibition runs until 6 December.

Open Studios visited included the Stables at Fairlight where many of the featured artists had a very successful selling period.

We visited The School Creative Centre in Rye which has taken over the old Freda Gardham school. This is now the home of more than 10 professional artists and makers as well as a Theatre production company.
